Building on family heritage, Spring Creek’s land has been in
Frank Kernick’s family since 1927. His grandparents operated a
modest dairy farm until the 1950s when it became a camp for the
workers constructing the Trans-Canada Highway. It then evolved
into Restwell – a mobile home park and campground. In 2004,
Frank unveiled his vision for the Spring Creek development and
launched a project that would be built to last and provide the
Canmore community a place to thrive.
Founded on the spirit of community, Spring Creek was developed to provide Canmore with a vibrant neighbourhood and to give a home to our businesses, properties and associations.
In an unmatched location bordered by two creeks at the heart of Canmore, the site has naturally evolved into the town’s premier neighbourhood. The master plan for Spring Creek’s 70 acres included a mix of homes for every stage of life, melding high standards of craftsmanship and sustainability with the architectural character of the enchanting mountain town we call home.
Spring Creek is also designed with interconnecting pathways, bridges and gathering spaces, all weaving the neighbourhood into a true community. Uplifting the relationships and businesses that we’ve built over the years and enveloping local businesses into our plan, we’ve created a development that is more than just a collection of mountain homes; it is a full-service neighbourhood.
