Spring Creek Property Owners’ Association
Spring Creekers take pride and ownership in this special community.
Spring Creek is a place where people not only reside but where they can really live – a place that fosters meaningful connections with family, friends, neighbours, and nature. The Spring Creek Property Owners’ Association (SCPOA) was established by developer Frank Kernick, to create a sense of place and ownership and to nurture the culture and social connections within the community. In addition, the association was also created to help maintain and manage the upgraded landscaping within the natural open spaces, community parks and common amenities.
As a Spring Creek investor, all owners are automatically part of the Spring Creek Property Owners’ Association. Each owner pays $200 per year. The nominal annual fee helps to contribute to the overall financial cost of the common amenities, community upgrades, landscaping and social events and activities. The developer currently subsidizes the majority of these costs until there are enough owners within the community to support the expenditures. The SCPOA is well managed by the Property Owner Association Coordinator and is overseen by a Board of Directors that is comprised of Spring Creek Property Owners.
All year round, Spring Creek’s spirit of adventure and sense of fun are in full swing! A wide variety of activities and events offered throughout the year:
- Group snowshoe and cross country skiing outings in the winter
- Family Day skating party
- Group bike rides and hikes in the summer
- Canada Day parade float
- Social parties – wine tasting & scavenger hunts – online during the pandemic
- Community Summer Block Party
- Chili Cook-Off
- Pub nights at the Mine Shaft Tavern
- Speaker presentations
Spring Creek isn’t just the heart of Canmore. It is the heart of all the action!
